“No matter what she did with her hair it took about three minutes for it to tangle itself up again, like a garden hosepipe in a shed [Which, no matter how carefully coiled, will always uncoil overnight and tie the lawnmower to the bicycles].”
Terry Pratchett
Let me introduce myself…
Welcome to my messy garden. Let’s face it, this site is about the garden, not so much about me. Perhaps where one begins the other ends? I am an archaeologist, a gardener, a reader, and a scribbler. I love to laugh, to learn, to explore, and enjoy. My garden is a riot of colour, of flowers and fruit. It is an adventure playground for the local cats, which dream of bigger lives as they wend their way through the sunflowers. It is a haven for birds and a happy home for pollinators. It is the occasional raccoon crime scene. Most of all, it is a source of happy surprises and unexpected discovery.
